Bruised, bloody, and broken she had to walk away.
That was not a feeling that fit me well. In fact, it made my skin crawl in discomfort. In anger. It had been months since the attack. She and Stephan were healed physically, and it seemed, emotionally, but I felt the wounds as though they were fresh.
What had almost happened haunted me. I sat scant feet away from our bed, watching Bianca sleep. She was nude, with not so much as a sheet covering her. I watched her lithe form shift on the bed, one long leg hitching up to give me a glimpse of the pink between her legs. I felt like a fucking stalker. Truth be told, I was one, watching her for hours on end, night after night. She sat up, and I watched her heavy breasts swaying with the movement. Just having her eyes on me could do that.
She crawled across the bed toward me. In fact, she posed for me, even the exposure of her body an act of submission. As though reading my thoughts, as though even those were a command, she paused on the edge of the bed, parting her legs to let me look my fill before she rose, approaching my chair. I was a statue as she leaned up to my ear, my brows drawing together in a question.
Her lips touched my ear as she spoke. My eyes shut tight, my jaw went slack, and a shudder wracked my entire body. This woman destroyed my self-control. She dug her jaw into me so hard that I knew it must be hurting her badly. She needed this as much as I did.
Perhaps more so. View all 5 comments. Oct 17, Debra marked it as to-read. From the author's blog: The bulk of the novel will take place after the events in Grounded. However, there will also be many, many bonus male POV scenes from the first three books. It was not a feeling that fit me well. Nov 23, AJ rated it really liked it Shelves: She saved my soul. I am happy to say that RK Lilley has done a great job with this book, getting us into the head of the elusive and controlling James Cavendish, and the wonderful Stephan, and giving us a well-rounded finish to the Up In the Air series that I absolutely loved.
Yes, there are some key scenes from the series revisited from a different POV, but most of the content is new. The book is not really written in story format, more like a collection of scenes that flick between the past and the present.
I, James Cavendish, unrepentant dominant, sexual deviant, and prolific slut for more years that I cared to count, was in love. We also see more detail of the aftermath of the big climax in Grounded , and see snippets of the years that follow — the good, the bad, the swoony and the smutty so, so hot!!!!! True love was a language, so many looks, touches and one word references that told the other more than full sentences of paragraphs, more than full outpourings of speech.
Our language was extensive and beautiful, and over a joyful lifetime together, we stayed fluent in it. Trust me on this.
But the true romance came from the slow lapse of time, the inexorable passing of days, weeks, months, years decades. Beautiful - 4 stars. View all 10 comments.
Oct 16, Dee Montoya rated it it was amazing Shelves: This might be R. K Lilley best book yet, not only was I deeply moved by the immense love Stephan and James felt for Bianca, but we get another glimpse into Tristan and Danika's past and present, this was all too much for my fragile little heart to take, Thank you, Ms. This book was sort of like a tribute to all the amazing characters that we already loved from previous books, but told from all the guys POV.
Mainly the story is about Stephan and James, a closer look into their deepest, darkest emotions and experiences which always revolve around Bianca. The overall theme of the book is unconditional love, from a friend or a lover, as well as the importance of acceptance and respect from their closest, most important people; and it was not only romantic but utterly beautiful… That is all I can say without spoiling this amazing story, that for sure will grab your heart….

Lilley to write books on the kids when they've grown. Yes, no matter how much she gives us, I'll always want more. That's how much I love these fictional characters.

Grounded, book 3 James POV 3. Mar 25, Raine Miller rated it it was amazing. James Cavendish at his gritty, deep, soul-searching best, in what is my favorite read of the Up in the Air series. His words, his thoughts, his emotions cut right to the essence of what he feels for Bianca.
Beautifully written in words that don't clutter, but move forward with intensity, keeping me turning the pages until there were none left. One sitting. Beautiful will always be my 1. But unfortunately, this was awkwardly put together. The book jumps from event to event without any real focus. The beginning flip flops between past and present James. We then move into Stephan's POV. He recalls memories from his early years with Bianca, along with his relationship with Javier.
From there we move back to "Present" James, and snippets of his relationship with Bianca after the Up in the Air trilogy. Again, random moments with no real story, direction or focus. Frankly, I feel like this whole thing could have been something offered for free on the author's website as a thank you to her fans.
I feel jipped. Honestly, all three of my stars are for the Stephan and Javier "section" and for the heartwarming epilogue.
View all 21 comments. This is more of an optional book to the series. It's more of James and Stephan's perspective on the past and present after the events happened on Grounded. Also, we get to see the perspectives from other side characters in the story. It's a quick read and I finished this in one sitting. I still enjoyed this book as a last hurrah. If you want more of James Cavendish's sexiness, then give this one a go. View 2 comments. OH MY…. I loved it!!!
But it was great seeing him finding true happiness and love with Javier!!! James will have his hands full with his offsprings!!!! No way are they going to…. Besides that little moan…. Then I get it…all these epilogues for all the other books in the series!!!! I must be honest…I did not read any of them…. How about some stories of their kids????? Wishful thinking I suppose!!!! For my reviews of this series: In Flight- https: Mile High- https: Grounded- https: Mar 16, Cristina rated it liked it Shelves: Why I was disappointed: I was confused for awhile and a little weird out with James.
Why I kept reading: Because of Stephan. Regardless, you must read the other three books in the Up in the Air series in order to understand this book. Truth is, if I would've known what I know now, I would've skipped this in a blink of an eye. View all 14 comments. Oct 17, Wendy marked it as to-read Shelves: Woooo, I would cut a bitch to get my hands on this before it's released!! More Mr. Beautiful, what a treat!!!! What I really mean by that is "tidbits".
I'm sorry to say but I felt completely ripped off by this book. The James' POV at the beginning was completely irrelevant.
We knew already what happened, and his point of view didn't reveal a thing we didn't know already before. I would even state that I did not recognize the James I knew in the trilogy. He seemed Plus the constant back and forth between present and past was incohesive and left me in a complete dubious state. The same applies to Stephan POV, while I did appreciate and liked learning all about his story with Javier, it felt rushed, and I don't understand the way it was threaded into this "collection".
That some "new" material was ahead of me Well, I did, but it did not give me a better impression of Mr. My main complain about this "collection of excerpts" isn't that there wasn't new material to it, I have read books that offered the same story with a different POV before, and when I do pick a book like this, I expect to learn something NEW.
In this case I didn't. Additionally, I needed those POVs to be part of a plot. Or a least following a time line. It really was like a collection of previously discarded scenes, and it didn't invite me to read furthermore.
For the price this book is sold, I expected a lot more than what was offered, and this really comfort me in my idea that the author did this purely with commercial intents, when she could have offered this on her blog, website, or newsletter.
I would not recommend this to the fans of the Up in the Air trilogy, this really doesn't add much -if nothing at all- to the story. View all 11 comments. I'm so busy at work that right now I don't really care if the building is burning down - I need a break and I need to write these damn reviews! Beautiful is fourth and last book of the Up in the Air series. It was adorable and a quick read. I was tall, nearly five foot ten barefoot, and easily six one now in my work shoes.

But the top of my head still only came up to his nose. I always felt a little awkward around shorter men, but this height, this extremely tall man, had the opposite effect. He made me feel feminine and small.
Ienjoyed the feeling, but was extremely unnerved by it. He shrugged out of his finely tailored suit jacket, handing it to me. He remained in a fine white dress shirt with a pale blue tie. I saw that, although he was lean and elegant, he was also surprisingly muscular. The sight of that hard play of muscles under his shirt made my mouth go dry. I finished my usual pre-board service in a bit of a daze, barely locking down all of the carts in my galley before it was time to step again in front of Mr.
Cavendish for the safety demonstration. He watched me intently, his gaze never leaving my face. Never once had his gaze left my face. I sensed that he was interested in me. But in what way? I had no idea. Usually when men hit on me, their eyes were all over my body, not unswervingly glued to my eyes. My demonstration was unusually graceless. I even fumbled with the seat buckle in my nervousness. I took my seat for takeoff with a sense of relief. Ineeded a moment of peace to gather my composure.
My jump seat faced Mr. Cavendish almost perfectly. I had to make a conscious effort not to meet his eyes during the long taxi and then takeoff. Generous Stephan clutched my hand warmly as we took off. We both loved the feeling of takeoff. It represented good things for both of us. New places. New adventures. Leaving bad things behind us. I sent him a quick, affectionate smile before I looked out the window in the door to my right, avoiding looking at Mr.
Cavendish for as long as Icould. Finally, I stole a furtive glance at him, and was baffled by the change I saw in him. He was still as a statue now, his eyes positively glacial. It occurred to me that it must look as though we were a couple.
Stephan and I often appeared that way, even encouraged it at times. But it made me uncomfortable that Mr. Cavendish might make that assumption. Ibarely knew the man. We quickly reached ten thousand feet.
At the double ding that indicated our altitude, I got up and quickly started preparing a hot towel service while Stephan made his usual announcements. He leaned in close against my back, nearly embracing me as he spoke in my ear. But he had helped in coach last time, so we both knew it was my turn to help in back. He just kissed the top of my head, shaking his. Good luck up here.
I sighed, exasperated. For once, I actually wanted to work back there. It would give me a little break from Mr. Beautiful up front. Cavendish barely glanced at me now as Ihanded out hot towels, then collected them. Why did that bother me so much? I took drink orders, and served the first round of drinks quickly.
The couple on the last row of first class seemed to be heavy drinkers, but the others just had water and looked close to falling asleep. I took a cart out, offering cheese, crackers, and an olive basil dip. It took me less than five minutes to serve the entire cabin. Cavendish took a small plate of cheese with water, and the couple in back took some, but the other two declined and were sleeping before I was even back in the galley.
I had read them all wrong. Ihad thought for sure they were just getting started. Cavendish was suddenly the only passenger awake in my cabin. It felt strangely as though we were alone. The curtain was closed securely on main cabin, and the lights were dimmed to near darkness throughout the entire plane. He was working quietly on his laptop, looking alert and nowhere close to sleep. Would he work straight through the night? I wondered. He likely worked around the clock.
Our flight time was four hours and forty-three minutes, and it was now the middle of the night. I approached him, leaning down to speak to him quietly, conscious of the other sleeping passengers, though they were all at the back of first class, and he was nearly at the front. Iraised my brows in question. What can Ihelp you with? It seemed unprofessional to sit down next to him, but he had asked, and he was the only one likely to see me do it. Everyone else is beyond caring. Loved it and was disconcerted by it.
It was nothing I could put my finger on, but something about his tone made it sound almost intimate. I took a deep breath and finally just sat down beside him. I angled toward him slightly, my hands in my lap, tugging my skirt down and smoothing the dark gray m Automatyczne logowanie Zarejestruj.
