Well let my say something, i cried and it was amazingly inspiring!

The synopsis of this book sounded interesting, so I was eager to check it out. Unfortunately, it ended up being just an OK read.

It wasn't especially bad, but I also didn't find it especially compelling. I don't want to be spoilery, so please forgive the vagueness of my review.

The book started out slow and that coupled with an uninteresting cast of characters had me pretty bored. I didn't relate to any of the main characters and I found the plot confusing at times. The Sinclair family was absolutely horrible and I felt so annoyed by their behavior and attitudes that I could care less what happened to them and why they were so messed up.

The story did eventually pick up and become more intriguing and mysterious, but by that point I wasn't invested at all and just wanted to get to the big reveal.

The writing style didn't grate on me the way it did other readers, but it was a bit too fragmented for me to really enjoy it. The twist at the end was surprising although not totally original , but as a whole, the book fell flat and was just OK. I really enjoyed this YA novel - it's a complex and suspenseful story of a wealthy family trying to repress their bad history.

Cadence is determined to find out what her family is hiding, but what she discovers has a high price. Well-written and sophisticated, We Were Liars keeps you guessing until the end. Once upon a time there was a book who's synopsis was vague, the reviews were great and it was named a modern, sophisticated suspense novel. This was a suspense novel???

I kept waiting for the good part and ended the book a little short, ok a lot. This book wasn't a particularly long one but it certainly felt like one. The build-up to the climax was super slow and then it was over. This story is about four teenagers who spent all of their summers on a private island, something happens and then story is over. The end. I do have to say that it wasn't expecting the main outcome of the story but then again, it was so completely predictable.

And the writing style is just like this. It was very choppy and for what seems to be no particular reason other than to annoy the reader. I think I almost preferred to read the once upon a time stories the main character Cadence tells then the actual story itself. I'm not sure how this novel received such rave reviews. I guess I missed the boat on that one.

A great, well written book, but only read it if you want to bawl your eyes out. As in, snot and vomit cry. Which hardly seems fair And to prove this, she's going to teach them a lesson. Impersonating lead member Alpha by using a fake email account is surprisingly easy, and soon Frankie is setting the boys up with all sorts of ridiculous schemes and sending them on wild goose chase after wild goose chase.

Alpha's not prepared to lose face and admit it's not him sending the emails - but the fun can't last forever, and soon Frankie will have to choose between what she think she wants, and the reputation she deserves.
